Aidan's First Day of School

Aidan had his first day of 4 year old kindergarten today. After waking up early and having muffins (per his request) for breakfast, we dressed in our uniform and off to school. Aidan's is going to St. Phillip's Lutheran School, which is just down about 8 houses on our block, so we walked of course. We also have videos which have to be edited yet, so we will let you know when those will be ready. But here is a few pictures.

That Could Have Gone Better

Aidan was driving Kate crazy tonight and eventually worked his situation to the point where I get to step in. I picked him up and carried him into his bedroom for a spanking. When I got into his room I realized I did not have a place to sit down and carry out my parental duty. I decided to sit on Davis' bed - the lower half of the bunk bed he and Aidan share. As I sat down Aidan was facing over my shoulder and I smacked his forehead into his own bed. I could not bring myself to deliver on the threatened spanking after that.

When he calmed down, I apologized and we talked about his behavior. I got around to saying something about him going to school now and he has to be a big boy all the time. To this he replied, "But Daddy, I'm not five yet!"
