I was lying on my bed yesterday evening reading a book for my class in June when Aidan wandered into the room.
"What are you reading, Daddy?"
"It's a book for Daddy's class he is going to take at school."
"Oh, what's it about?"
"It's about being a missionary. Do you know what a missionary is?"
"Yeah...uh, no."
"It's someone who tells someone about Jesus when they have never heard about him before. Do you think you want to be a missionary someday?"
"Yeah."
(I realize that I could have asked him if he wanted to be a milk man on the moon and he would have said yes, but it never hurts to start)
"Usually missionaries have to leave their homes and families and go far away to tell people about Jesus."
"Oh, does God have a car that he would come to pick me up in?"

your kids are adorable!!! :) i was just browsing through blogger blogs and came across yours and lately my favorite thing to do is read about what little kids have said (my friend at crib ceiling quotes hers often). my husband and i are expecting our first in december and we're both a little nerve racked so i focus on the positive; i.e. cute things they say when they're older. :)
