Aidan has had 2 full weeks of school now and has made great friends with the other 3 boys in his class, and the girls too! The hardest thing for Mommy is getting all 3 kids dressed before 7:30, when we leave to walk to school. Overall, Aidan has a had a great time. We did have one morning last week when he woke up not wanting to go to school.
So, I sat down with him and asked, "Why don't you want to go to school Aidan?" Aidan answered, "Oh, I don't want to go because I don't like rest time."
Mom, "Why don't you like rest time?"
Aidan, "Because I am not sleepy and can't play."
Surprise! Surprise!
Grammie Laura will understand this, since Aidan is just like his Daddy!
So, I told Aidan to ask the teacher if he could read a book or have a small toy to play with quietly during that time. And off we went to school.
Later in the week, I was chatting with his teacher's assistant before school one day and mentioned his disdain for rest time. She then told me.....
"Yes, Aidan is the only one that doesn't fall asleep so we make him lay quietly until the other kids are asleep and then take him to another room so he can play."
Ha! Goof Ball! You have some pretty nice teachers buddy!
